Merry Christmas!

So happy that final is done, just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

FINAL READINGS

Where are you Going? Where Have you Been? and FIESTA were both similar and they had twist of abuse, exploitation, hurt and pain just to name a few. I have read other material similar but just prefer a more lighter and romantic comedy for my reading pleasure. It is sad to know some people really act the way the characters in these readings actually display, and yet every society and culture has their place reasons for acting the way they do.

FIESTA

Dan! I recognized your GIMP skills immediately. It must be magically photography.....how can you take the picture and be in the picture at the same time we only had soft drinks at the FIETA! By the way was fantastic and it was a great class and a great fall semester in English 128. Nice looking class picture. Where are they now, you just gotta try to find us in ten years! We could do a remix and an extreme makeover for the sequel to our story. Enjoy the holidays and everyone have a blast!!!!
Happy Holidays!
God bless you "everyone"

final due date

when exactly would that be?

Thanks for the great semester, everyone.

So I thought these stories were not supposed to be depressing?

Fiesta was so sad. It really bothered me how the dad took his children with him when he went to bootycall with his mistress, and how the mom was so sweet and pretty and he still cheated on her. :(
The dad sounded like a real pain; I wish the uncle would have beat him up.

The American Society

In this story you could really see how the more they fit into the "average" American ways, the more trouble seemed to closely trail them.

wait, do we only have 1 story to read????

so do we only have one story to read? i thought in class we were told we had 2, but on the calendar it only shows one?

Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll

In "Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?", we saw how sex and music were used to lure those who are vulnerable, and oftentimes, the most innocent.
What about drug use? Though no direct references to controlled substances were made, I wonder if this could have possibly been a contributing factor to Arnold's sociopathic personality.
Since the advent of Rock and Roll, many have proclaimed the music detrimental to society, even going so far to call it "the devil's music".

thanks for responding

i will surprise you all
