Final Draft of Website

Is here.

Good luck this fall everyone!

Drupal Cookbook

part of my syllabus

Any reactions to this rough draft? From the syllabus I took the exact words but radically changed the format. Dan turned me onto this awesome program, Comic Life. There is a free demo version available. I like how the boxes divide space like a line parses words in a poem. What was an intolerably dull statement of plagiarism became something more visually interesting. Or at least I think so. The web is awesome!

Second try

Drafts of all three units

I completely junked some of the assignments and tweaked others. Getting closer. Also changed the metaphor from SHOP to LOT.

Has been helpful for me.

Project Runway

(Variation on Playlist Assignment)

I'll admit it, yes, I love Project Runway on Bravo. I own all the seasons on DVD. I watch the special features. I think Tim Gunn is a genius. I have no sense of fashion.

What I've learned from the show, what anyone learns from watching the program, however, is that a fashion show must hold together, it must make a statement through colors and textures, it must take risks. And creative people fuck up. They don't get it right all the time. Isn't this similar to the process of writing?
