Revised Briony Tallis collage

Revised Briony Tallis collage

I revised this collage so that the picture of the woman blended in more with the background. I fixed the placement problems (the white space that had been at the bottom) from the last one. I also made it so that the word Atonement is diagnol across the image rather than just horizontal.

This collage is of Briony Tallis, a character in Ian McEwan's Atonement. She begins as a very imaginative 13 year old child who, after reading a private letter written by an man named Robbie Turner, forms a negative opinion of Robbie. She then witnesses a crime and incorrectly reports Robbie as the perpetrator (due to he perception of him, she convinces herself in her mind that it really was him). Consequently, Robbie is sent to jail and torn away from the woman he loves, Cecilla (who also happens to be Briony's older sister). Once she grows out of her imagination and matures, she begins to understand the enormity of what she did and just how much it affected Robbie and her sister. She then decides to spend the rest of her life atoning for the mistake she made.
The background pictures if of 13 year old Briony, the picture of the woman sitting down is Cecilla after finding out what Briony has accused Robbie of. The picture of the man and the woman is Robbie and Cecilla during the single time they got to see each other after Robbie was convicted of the crime. The letter represents the letter Briony read leading her to believe incorrect things of Robbie. The red cross represents Briony's decision to become a nurse and care for those injured in the war rather than go to college as penance for what she had done. The word Atonement, obviously, represents the title of the book along with what Briony spent her life doing.

I really like how you added

I really like how you added Cecillia in the top right hand corner, she blends well with the green door. Also, you did a good job making the other images blend with the background.

Your revisions are great. I

Your revisions are great. I love the angle of the word atonement. It really gives direction and flow to the collage. The upper left picture looks much more incorporated into the collage, but the bottom right picture still looks a little awkward. Maybe if you pull it down more or blend it or make it transparent the picture would work better. The collage looks amazing and I love your ideas.

A lot better. I like the

A lot better. I like the complementary colors with the red from the red cross and the green in the background. Very well done. This is just a really good revision on an already good collage!
