To My Group

I just missed the bus to get to class and I live off campus so there is no way for me to get there. Let me know what I need to do so that we do not fall too far behind! Sorry for this.
Email me at mjusino@email.unc.edu. Thanks!

Nas

Nas is the most poetic musician in my opinion. I feel like almost everytime i hear him he is preaching. He likes to talk alot about historical events and let out his emotions with creative rhyme schemes and wordplay. He often talks about black history and his ancestry/heritage. One of his more poetic verses comes on a song entitled "Letter to the King" where he is essentially speaking to and about Martin Luther King Junior....

Standing at the pue panoramic view of the seating
Greeting, I’ve been meaning to do me some letter reading, to the King
He forever breathing your messages never leaving
Some of your homies, phonies I should say it when I see them
Them sleazy bastards, some greedy pastors, jerks
Some should never be allowed in Ebenezer Baptist Church, in Atlanta
Some people be patient I know this ghetto grammar
But im a street dude normally I just speak rude
Martin Luther, the martyr, the trooper, hate killed him
