ROUGH draft for podcast!

This is definitely just a rough draft, but here's my podcast for Dave Matthews Band.

Caitlin, I enjoyed the

Caitlin, I enjoyed the podcast. I like the opening. Nice informal feel. You might do a bit more discussing the details of the clips—e.g. the Gravedigger—what are the pieces in the sample that need pointing out. Perhaps edit the interview clip to take out the interviewer or I’m not sure. I don’t feel like those pieces are done as well as they might be. The Big Eyed Fish lead in is strong. I wonder if the clip could be shortened. Again, if you discuss the details of the songs, it will tie things together. If you take the concluding points and use them as guides, it may help with some of the rewriting of the middle—real people and live life. Watch the mic bumping sounds. Also watch the volume levels.

Good Content

I thought the content of your podcast was very good and very well pieced together. However, you need to tweak the volume of the podcast's different pieces. The narration parts need to be a little louder and the music/interviews a little softer. Otherwise, the content was well compiled and keeps the listener's attention and does not allow them to become board with one idea, speaker, or song.

Thoughts...

Wow! I think you did a great job. And I personally really like DMB (though I was only just introduced to them because of the playlist. My friends REALLY like them). I'd work on transition volume. You talk and then songs are a lot louder (Gravedigger, but several). There's one small clip you can edit at the beginning where there's a bit of an unnecessary person saying "Well, he proved us wrong." I really liked it though, and the end was perfect.
