Benjy Compson

This collage represents Benjy Compson, a character from William Faulkner's The Sound and the Fury. Benjy is mentally ill and unable to understand abstract concepts, such as time. He is utterly dependent on Caddy, his sister and only source of affection, and is crushed when he senses her fall into promiscuity. For many reasons, Benjy is often characterized as a Christ figure.

I love this collage! All of
I love this collage! All of the images really flow together well, and I think you did a great job of blending everything together. I love how you blended the clock and the leaves together, the clock is the perfect opacity so that you can still see all of the leaves beneath it. I also really like the color scheme, and how there is a uniform color throughout the collage, with little variations here and there. I love all of the details, and you can tell that you put a lot of hard work into it! :)
I like this collage a lot.
I like this collage a lot. There is a nice sense of flow and all the elements are well-integrated. The only thoughts I have relate to the opacity of the clock--what kinds of experiments can you make with that to just play with the presence of time in the image. Also, the dark leaf shape above the figure of the boy might be thought about. What if it were masked out to emphasize the sweep of the boy's head?
