I have revised my collage and extended the grass "path" down beside Madame Bovary's lover. Before, the white area that is below the book extended all the way over to her lover.

This collage is a portrayal of the character Madame Bovary. It aims to show her rural lifestyle and her dreams of a big city life. She attempts to fulfill her dreams by reading, as shown. Her dreams consist of a desire for money and more romantic men than her husband.
Nice work edging in the
Nice work edging in the different images and putting together a set of elements to deliver your interpretation. I also like the way you are experimenting with breaking the frame of the collage with white space. I wonder if that technique might be played up or also the lines in the background landscape use to more effect to convey the message of dreaming. It might be a bit tough to make all of the dream element, for instance, appear in the clouds, but there is a kind of dividing line offered by the golden field that might be bumped up to create that sense of two states--in general, think about how the flow of that dividing line works. Maybe then some experimenting with the white spacing or some other moves just to amplify the two states and the sense of the dream.
