Love Story
My collage is modeled after Taylor Swift's song "Love Story." The story centers around a girl and a boy, who have known each other since they were young, and who are forbidden to be together. Although most of the song is somber, the boy proposes to the girl in the end, and they live happily ever after. Throughout the song, Taylor says, "You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess," which is a major theme I wanted to focus on in the collage. I chose a little girl dressed up as a princess for the focal point of the work, and a fairy-tale like castle is pictured behind her. Most of the song is somber, so I wanted to my collage to reflect this mood. I also found a picture of a bride and groom, kissing, and I chose to set the opacity to 100% so that it would stand out. The conclusion of the song is a happy one, so I thought it made sense to make that object stand out the most.

i love this song!
This Taylor Swift song is one of my favorites and i love the way you pulled all the images together. My eye also goes right to the married couple, which i think is good because the proposal is the best and most important part of the song. The little girl and the castle are also great in this collage because it shows how the love story described could also be a fantasy of a young girl.
I respond a bit differently
I respond a bit differently than others have to the image. The full presence of the couple and the note really place a lot of emphasis on that piece of the collage. The rest takes up more space though and has more going on but it is hard to pull the pieces out because of the opacity. I think the girl and castle area and the way the pieces there are blended together is the place to focus on in a revision.
Conveys ideas well
Your collage conveys the song's ideas very well. For the most part, my eye is drawn to the young girl and the castle. That part of the collage leads me to believe that the young girl is dreaming of marrying a prince. Then, the wedding couple affirms my initial assumption, as does the love note. Although my eye ultimately settles upon the young girl, the wedding couple could also easily be the focal point depending upon how you interpret the collage.
