Water For Elephants Collage #2
Published in

Like my revision on my poetry collage, I didn't really change the elements in the picture so much as rearrange them- though obviously in a much more dramatic way! I took Professor Dan's advice about trying to find a central element/work on framing...I decided to let the rocking chair that floated over the background do my framing for me. It was actually a lot harder than I initially thought it would be but in the end I got results that are, if nothing else, much more striking, in my opinion, than my first draft. I did find a different elephant than the one I used in my original collage- Rosie, the main elephant in Water For Elephants has a crucial role, so I thought I'd pick one that better fit her description as a circus performer.

I really like this revision!
I really like this revision! The rocking chair works perfectly as a frame for all of these pictures. Its really hard to figure out how to separate all of the different images without it looking cluttered, and the rocking chair is a great and unique way to do that!
agreed! Pretty darn amazing!

This is one of my favorite collages so far. You did a great job of taking Dan's suggestion of using the white rocking chair as a framing device for the elements.

I like this a lot. The framing is really striking and the stark white tones create lots of contrast that add great visual interests. Congratulations on a great revision.
