There are so many threads of interest in the world. Our challenge is to connect them to literature and media. A photograph connects surely, because it can be a work of art. (Can it?)
We'll have to decide when something can be considered a work of art. Often a distinction is made between a human element and something nonhuman. A sunset might not be art, but a painting of one could be. There has been some kind of artistic agency applied. How about a photograph? What about a yearbook photo? A photograph of a person could be art. Could the person? Could a group of people?
