About You

What is your current favorite print text and what makes it worth a look?

It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I guess “The Nightingale and the Rose,” written by Oscar Wilde, is my favorite print text. I think it is worth a look because Wilde has a very fascinating style and is able to approach a few ancient themes from a fresh and creative view.

What is your current favorite non-print text and what makes it worth a look?

I really enjoy Wes Anderson films (Royal Tenenbaums, Life Aquatic, Darjeeling Limited etc.) They are worth a look because I think he is one of the most talented directors/script writers in recent times. His works often explore messy entanglements of human relations and interactions.

What is the best part of being a student of English?

To put it simply, I just enjoy reading and learning what different authors have to say about our world. I like figuring out what someone’s point-of-view is and seeing how it relates to my own.
