What is your current favorite print text and what makes it worth a look?: This is tough to answer. I'm not very good at picking favorites. I will say that I'm currently rereading Cat's Eye by Margaret Atwood and enjoying it quite a bit. It's precise writing. Almost chiseled, if that makes sense.
What is your current favorite non-print text and what makes it worth a look?: Speedbath by Kristin Hersh. It's expansive but intimate, beautiful, exquisitely crafted, and grafts onto you. I can't overpraise it. It'd be impossible.
What is the best part of being a student of English?: I get to have read what other people just pretend they do. Kidding. I've loved literature all my life and learning more about it just makes it better.
