Cold Mountian Revisions

The same images were used in this Cold Mountain collage that were used in the one before, except for the addition of the stop sign at the end of the path. Behind all of the images there is a picture of Cold Mountain which is where the story takes place and the ultimate goal of both of the characters, where they believe they can find happiness. The top half of the collage is a torn flag that was waving while soldiers were going into battle, which would represent the reason why Inman had to leave Ada and the struggles that he had to go through. The white house on the other side of the path represents the farm house that Ada is living in back at Cold Mountain, where Inman wanted desperately to be. So the different sides of the path represent where both of the characters were coming from, and where they are heading. They are split by a mountain path to represent the path that both of them were on to get back to each other. It is also a visual representation of how their lives were divided and split by Inman having to go to the war. On the path are also visual representations of where both of the characters are coming from. Inman is a run away solider and he only wants the war to end so he can be with his love. Ada is stuck in Cold Mountain trying to raise a farm that she can't handle by herself. The two pictures of the characters in the middle show that they are both on the same path to find each other. The Cold Mountain sign at the end of the mountain shows that both of the character’s goal is to be back in Cold Mountain with each other, and to be happy again.
