Revised Denver Collage
The images and main ideas of this collage were basically the same, but I spent time breaking down the main elements in the poem and representing them in this image. The background of this image is a bar where the entire poem takes place. The first shot glass is an electric blue one with a woman wearing a mask on it because this would represent the woman who the speaker is talking about in the line speaking of her "rock star intonations." The color of the glass and the mask show that the woman has a little more going on than just any woman sitting at a bar. The second shot glass is just a regular glass with half of it full of some type of liquor to represent when the speaker had finally gotten the nerve to approach the lady, which might have had something to do with how much he had drank. The picture of the couple on top of it shows what the two might have looked like talking at the bar in their engaging conversation. The last shot glass is one that someone could buy when visiting Denver, which represents when the speaker spoke of wondering how far Denver was from where they were sitting, and that he had contemplating going to visit this woman. The legs hanging over the glass represent when the speaker was talking about how the woman even had pretty shoes in an attempt to keep her there with him. The top quote was from the beginning of the poem and the other was the closing line which ties together the poem and image together.
