John Nash from A Beautiful Mind (Revised)

John Nash was a person whose genius ended up driving him crazy with schizophrenia. For years he had made two great friends and worked for a secret service agent who all ended up to be not real. How he overcame this disease and went on to win the Nobel Prize was unbelievable. This collage is based on him trying to forget the past, which largely consisted of connections with these imagined people. I tried to find a half closed curtain to illustrate his attempt to disconnect with them even though they bothered him a long time after he realized he had schizophrenia. There is little difference from the original collage in terms of the main ideas I was trying to convey, but I did make a couple of changes with some images. First of all, I deleted the Nobel Prize medal that looked like it was floating on his chest. Even though winning the Nobel Prize was an important point in his life I could not find a way to blend it in with the rest of the collage without it looking awkward. Secondly, I changed the transparency of the three people looking through the window. My original intent was to show that they were fading into the past by making them transparent. This might have been confusing for a person who had never seen the movie. Therefore, I made several replicas of each person and increased the transparency as they moved behind the original images. I like this one

I like this collage better because I feel like the first one had too many things that were transparent and they all seemed to blend together. I also like that you got rid of the award on the chest, I feel like that was also too distracting for the overall feel of the photo. This is also one of my favorite movies, so I really enjoy this collage and think that the feeling now is one that does a really good job showing the chaos and overwhelming feeling that John was going through.

Interesting

I really like how you changed the opacity of the people in the background. It seems appropriate considering what a big part they played in Nash's life. The overall vibe I get from the collage is one of chaos, with all the numbers and the people looking in on him. Great job! I really like it!
