To Be Of Use Collage Revised

In revising this collage a few times, I began to explore what the poem really meant to me. One of the greatest ways I spend my time is playing ball on the softball field. Also one of my most prized posessions is my softball glove because it has allowed me to have all of the great experiences that I would never know of without it. If a glove is not put to good use, it becomes meaningless. However when a child or professional uses a glove they give meaning to one another. In this collage, the picture of the glove in the infield is dark and awkward and clearly out of place which represents the awkrardness of the existence of a glove if it is not beint put to good use. The other glove is being used and is under a brighter light to show the clear advantages of using the glove in the way in which it was intended upon its creation. Simplicity in this collage is something I learned from experience with the program. At first I tried to put as many things as I could in a photograph and make them work together. Here I believe the simplicity speaks with greater power and forces the viewer to really think about the meaning of each image and why it is there.
