This is an image depicting Holden Caulfield. In the distance is the prep schools and life he is trying to leave behind. With the hectic Times Square as the background, I tried to capture the piece of mind Holden finds when he envisions himself as a "Catcher in the Rye". In one of the final scenes of the novel Holden is sitting on a bench watching his sister on the carousel and is nearly brought to tears by her beauty and innocence.
