This was a very...interesting story. In the beginning it seemed like the grandmother is the typical nostalgic, well-intentioned grandmother, and the rest of the family didn't pay much attention to her. The ending of the story was extremely surprising, I never would have pictured the entire family getting murdered. At the beginning of the story the grandmother wanted to go to Tennessee instead of Florida, but the family headed to Florida anyway. Ironicially the first time the family goes where the grandmother wants to go (the plantation with the secret panel) they have an accident and everyone eventually gets shot. Furthermore, the plantation wasn't even in Georgia it was in Tennessee, so they were going on a wild goose chase. It It was also ironic that one of the reasons the grandmother gives for not wanting to go to Florida is that the Misfit was said to be heading there and the family gets shot by none other than the Misfit himself.
