Ranelle, good job with the collage. I definitely like the way the girl is placed in the image. The backdrop with the shack works well to make the colors in the girl stand out and give her focus. I guess I'm still not sure about the way the books are integrated into the image. I'm not sure if it's worth trying to continue experimenting with them, or perhaps try another approach to getting at the theme of intelligence. Maybe you could use a quote from the story, etc. Much of this might have to do with the way we ended up cropping the image, which has given you a shorter canvas to work with. If nothing comes to mind, here, you may want to concentrate on the poem collage instead.
