I think a good way to blend the images together better might be to use the 'spray' type effect on the edges with the mask. By that I mean choose one of the brush tips that is a clutter of dots and not solid. This allows one image to fade into the other gradually.
Taylor, I think thematically the collage is working fine. The two trees with elements of nature in between makes sense. I'm not sure the choice of pillars is just right--seems like more separation between the columns would fit better--these feel more like a wall. Mainly, though, I think the blending and integration of the elements needs to be experimented with. I'm just not sure that the use of all the spaces is being pulled off to full effect. It feels like there are big blocks of space, but these call for more thinking about what is going on in them, if that makes sense.
