Well, today was the first day and it went pretty smoothly. We worked in small groups and came up with a good ideas for an ideal profile. My group was pretty active, and we came up with good ideas. I was the recorder. We said that the definition of a profile is a summarizing overview where you describe yourself as you want other people to know you. It should include things like a brief bio of yourself, your interests and hobbies, your favorites (quotes, food, movies, etc.) and a personal history. Also, maybe summarizing yourself in three words, and your dislikes. I think that what you like is also as important as what you don't like.

I am nervous. Today I will have my first workout as a Tar Heel. The strength coach is a large and intense person who is legendary for his boarderline insanity. I can't help but wonder what I actually signed myself up for. Some of the players are doing it right now and I am next. Have I prepared enough? Will I embarass myself? How do I compare to the other linemen? Am I going to puke? I don't know the answer to any of these questions, but I will by the end of the night. At least there is no running today, they save that for tomorrow when we have two days to recover. Oh well, here we go.

I think that we need to have a personal history place where you can tell about where you are from and where you live. It starts with goals and desires and then it says below to tell about yourself.. but where you are from etc. isn't really fitting in the goals category!

The way I role the Carolina Way is the only! I love it here at Carolina no better place for me. And thats how I role!

This is the space where we will mix some summer time writing. Now. Now, because this is a time when writing needs infusions of new media ideas and needs to break away more often from the boundaries of paper. This is the new media writing space--a social network that allows the sharing of any kind of file.

We will use this site, then, to exchange ideas and share our work. Write Now is the title of a textbook I'm preparing to write. It will be a textbook for writing classes, but will give advice about more than papers. I will also make much of the writing public. The project will be a huge writing assignment--probably a three year assignment.
