My playlist is about the personal life of Frida Kahlo, a Mexican artist. The songs I have chosen relate to her personal events and emotions she coped with as a handicap and the wife of Diego Rivera. I read about her and watched a movie about her, so I have a solid understanding of her life from a subjective point of view. Frida went through a lot of pain during her lifetime, both physical and emotional pain. I am truly moved by her passion as an artist to paint her innermost feelings onto a canvas. I'm really excited about this assignment!

Frida Kahlo (1907-1954) was a Mexican painter, the wife of Diego Rivera. She lived an unconventional lifestyle, considered a feminist icon by many. I chose to present her life from a subjective point of view. The songs and paintings I chose for this playlist reflect her feelings and reactions during different events of her life. I hope you enjoy my selection.
